Join master teacher Connie Borup for an incredible visual experience
with the landscape of Southern France. This year Connie is encouraging
folks who would like to have their first experience with making
art to join the workshop. The week will introduce beginners to the
basic concepts of sketching and photographing the landscape, and
will offer more advanced students the chance to paint at the beautiful
Le Levandin Mas. After a restful nights sleep and an irresistible
petit dejeuner, Connie will present the basic concepts of
using landscape as a source of making art. The setting of the estate
provides such a wonderful amount of variety that we will be able
to work right on the grounds and be close to all the conveniences
that make working out of doors enjoyable. In the middle of the week
we will visit a typical country market which provides a great chance
for shopping, sketching or photographing. After our morning activities
a delicious country French dejeuner will be served under
the ancient oak trees allowing an opportunity for discussing our
experiences and discoveries. In the afternoon you may chose to visit
the unique towns and villages of this area, or take one of the bicycles
for a ride through the countryside. Perhaps you will favor a leisurely
walk, a swim in the lovely pool, or an invigorating hike to absorb
the landscape first hand. This is also a time when you can experiment
with the new art information that has been presented to you and
return to works that call for additional attention. There is no
better way to experience art than in the luxurious setting of Le
Lavandin.
